An exciting Area Sales Manager (Pulp and Paper) job opportunity has just opened up at a multinational industrial solutions company.
About the Area Sales Manager (Pulp and Paper) Role: The Area Sales Manager (Pulp and Paper) will be responsible for the continued growth of sales and account operating profitability within the assigned personal territory as well as an assigned area containing the territories of other district personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieves annual sales target for the assigned area by working with the District Manager, assigned district sales personnel, Sr. Account Manager, and Corporate Account Manager to establish selling strategy and tactics
Serve as a role model in handling personal territory. Sell new business; plan and organise daily work; call on existing and potential sales customers. Focus on customer retention and improving customer satisfaction through excellence in the application of the service standards and customer feedback surveys. Document value offered and delivered to the customer in clear, customer accepted financial terms
Implement sales plans and strategy for active and potential pursuits within the assigned area. Coach assigned sales personnel to assist them in meeting their sales targets and build their personal selling skills
Establish close customer contact to determine customer needs and position the company to satisfy those needs. Generate high levels of continuous customer satisfaction by assuring compliance and quality in the application of the Six Service Standards
Effectively call on and establish business and social relationships with customers and prospects in the area assigned for management. This includes establishing business relationships with prospect and customer top management, and training District Representatives in the assigned area to effectively establish these relationships
Develop sales and service personnel by conducting the annual performance plan process, quarterly coaching trips with documented 90-day goals, informal coaching, and training as required to assure appropriate skills and knowledge for district personnel
Accompany District Representatives on sales calls. Review District Representatives' sales presentation and technical application skills and provides training in the use of effective sales techniques, through courses such as Versatile Salesperson and Counselor Salesperson
Maintain good expense control of personnel within assigned area in accordance with the district budget
Assist the District Manager in conducting district sales meetings
Prepare and monitor the annual sales forecast and budget for the assigned area. Prepare periodic reports and regularly updates database showing sales volume, potential sales, and status of active pursuits
To be successful in this Area Sales Manager (Pulp and Paper) role, you will need to have extensive experience in the commercial function and network in the paper and tissue industries.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is preferred
Track record of outstanding sales and technical performance
Experience in paper and tissue industries for more than 10 years
In-depth knowledge of product, application and system in Biocide, Dry Strength, Defoamer, Sizing and Retention programme
Strong mastery of the English language (both spoken and written)
Willing to work in South Jakarta
