An Exciting General Manager (Valves) job just opened in a multinational valve manufacturer. They are looking for someone to build and lead the business in Indonesia.
About the General Manager (Valves) Role: In this General Manager (Valves) role, you will set up and build the business in Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities:
Building up the newly set up establishment in Indonesia (from Rep Office to subsidiary)
Supporting the search for a new facility (office and warehouse)
Development of annual and mid- and long-term development of the business in Indonesia in alignment with the headquarters
Cost planning and supervision with headquarters
Leadership and development of the employees in Indonesia (currently two headcounts), including hiring of new employees and build up the team
Frequent assessment of sales team member’s activities and performance, providing guidance and training as necessary in alignment with the Regional Sales Manager/Sales Director
Promotion of company products to existing and new customers, providing full technical and commercial support and advice as required
Provide regular reports on weekly and monthly basis on all activities, projects and forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager
Development and maintaining good relationships with existing and new customers and distribution partners
Identify and report on potential new markets, industries and opportunities within the Indonesian market
Responsible for the management of the company project registration system
To be successful in this General Manager (Valves) position, you will need to be experienced in sales management or general management positions for valves, pipes or pumps.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of five years' experience in a Sales Management and a General Management role
Experience in building up a new found subsidiary including strong strategic mindset
Bachelor degree or higher in engineering, machinery- or process technology or related areas
Good English and Bahasa Indonesia speaking and writing skills
Located in Indonesia and sales experience within the valve or pumps industry, or in mechanical and electrical equipment with EPC companies or OEM’s on the Indonesian market. Access or understanding of the industrial market, e.g. F&B, Power, Maritime and HVAC markets is welcome
MS Office and excellent ERP-system skills
Familiarity working with CRM Management tools
