About the General Manager Sales - Logistics Role: Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and strategic direction of our mid-sized company's sales and logistics operations in expanding global contract logistics portfolio while diversifying and penetrating local markets, all while maintaining key account relationships with multinational clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the sales and logistics team, providing strategic direction and guidance aligned with our company's growth objectives
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, focusing on both existing multinational clients and local market opportunities
Drive expansion in the supply chain and contract logistics sectors, identifying and capitalising on areas of growth potential
Manage and strengthen key account relationships with existing multinational clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Identify and target million-dollar club companies for potential partnerships while expanding the client portfolio beyond traditional large corporations
Drive penetration into new markets and industries, leveraging existing relationships and creating new ones
Lead and develop a team of sales and logistics professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and facilitate skill development to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets
Develop and execute strategies to expand our market presence in Indonesia and other strategic locations
Plan and execute the opening of new branches in Medan, Balikpapan, and Bali, contributing to nationwide reach
Collaborate effectively with global counterparts, leveraging international exposure to enhance collaboration and support multinational client requirements
Manage and strengthen relationships with key partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations
Oversee the P&L for the sales and logistics division, ensuring financial targets are met and profitability is maximised
Manage budget allocation, resource utilisation, and cost-effective strategies
To succeed in this role, you must be able to lead and develop the sales and logistics team, meeting revenue and growth targets, fostering key account relationships, expanding market presence, and effectively managing operations across multiple locations.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in senior sales and logistics management roles, preferably in a multinational company
Strong exposure to working with MNC clients and managing key account relationships
Experience in supply chain, contract logistics, and freight operations is essential
Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and expanding market presence
Experience in handling P&L responsibilities and budget management
International exposure and experience working with global customer bases
Proficiency in RFQ processes and contract negotiations
Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development and collaboration
Professional demeanour, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Comfortable with occasional entertaining and building rapport with clients
Resilient, goal-driven, and results-oriented
