A Sales Manager (Logistics) job has opened up at a logistic start up.
About the Sales Manager (Logistics) Role:
You will share the company's vision of digitisation of the logistics industry and be a business partner and a trusted member of their strategic team with whom you will share the entrepreneurial spirit and dream maintain and reinforce the company's position as the leading digital logistics platform in Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
- Maintain sales volume by tracking changing trends, economic indicators, competitors and supply and demand
- Complete national sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and follow up on work results
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for products and staff and projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and new products
- Design and implement sales plans and action plans to reach sales targets
- Develop and promote weekly, monthly and quarterly sales objectives
- Draft detailed and accurate sales reports
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Build and lead a highly effective field sales team in Indonesia
- Establish a sales training programme to train new employees and coach, counsel and discipline employees in the field sales team
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions
- Plan, monitor, and appraise job results
- Prepare and present commercial proposals to the market in line with company expectations and policies
- Effectively communicate value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Work closely and professionally with operations and management to ensure client satisfaction and growth
- Understand product-specific landscapes and trends
To succeed in this Sales Manager (Logistics) role, you will need to have extensive commercial experience in the logistics industry, preferably also holding experience in a start-up environment.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record in generating leads, successfully pitching for new business and closing sizeable business opportunities. Strong in sales development skills
- Minimum of a master's/bachelor's degree is preferred
- At least five to seven years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: logistics or courier environment; land transport (trucking); container haulage, start up experience is a plus
- Minimum of two to three years of managerial experience specialising in B2B sales
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines, independent and a good team player
- Good understanding of trucking operations with industry leading companies
- Proven track record in successfully building and growing young businesses
- Disciplined, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to multitask
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
