Our client is seeking a Senior National Channel Manager (Modern Trade & E-Commerce). This role is an exciting opportunity to take charge of all sub-channels in Modern Trade nationwide, including Minimarket, Supermarket, Hypermarket and MT Independent. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing long-term plans for their respective area and channels, ensuring alignment with company objectives. They will also manage the Route to Market for both Modern Trade and E-commerce, ensuring financial figures can be delivered to all parties.

What you'll do:

As a Senior National Channel Manager (Modern Trade & E-Commerce), your role will be pivotal in driving the success of our client's Modern Trade and E-commerce channels. You will develop sustainable long-term plans for your respective area and channels, ensuring these align with the company's broader objectives. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you identify channel issues and opportunities, building activities to maximise territory/channel plans. Collaborating closely with distributors, you'll manage trading terms effectively to deliver optimal results. Your role will also involve planning, directing and monitoring channel activities and campaigns to achieve established sales and market share targets.

  • Develop and sustain a long-term plan for the respective area as well as channels
  • Ensure that plans are in line with Company objectives
  • Manage trading term by collaborating with distributor to provide best result with very effective cost of doing business
  • Work with distributor sales team to ensure execution excellence in 4 key aspects i.e distribution expansion, product merchandising, on-shelf availability, and promotion activities implementation
  • Plan, direct and monitor channel activities and campaigns to achieve established sales and market share targets in the related channels
  • Define channel issues and opportunities
  • Build activities to maximise territory/channel plan

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior National Channel Manager (Modern Trade & E-Commerce) role brings a wealth of experience in FMCG sales, trade marketing or marketing from leading MNC food companies. With at least 10 years' experience under your belt, you have proven your ability to lead modern trade or national key account management across various customers. Your strong networking skills have enabled you to build solid relationships within modern trade retailers and distributors. You are fluent in both the local language and English, and your experience managing online/e-commerce business gives you an edge. Your ability to work independently, coupled with your motivation and determination to succeed in a challenging environment, makes you the perfect fit for this role.

  • Degree holder in Business, Marketing or related fields
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in FMCG sales, trade marketing or marketing
  • Experience as a Head of Modern Trade or National Key Account Manager managing various customers
  • Experience working through Distributors is preferred for this position
  • Experience managing online/e-com business is an advantage
  • Strong networking skills both in Modern Trade Retailers and Distributors
  • Fluent in local language and English
