Business Development & Planning Manager (Automotive)
Reporting directly to the Planning Director, this position offers you the opportunity to influence strategic direction beyond traditional car sales, focusing on new business development and long-term growth initiatives. You will be at the forefront of identifying and evaluating innovative opportunities such as after-sales services, used car ventures, partnerships, and mobility-related projects.
What you'll do:
As a Business Development and Planning Manager, you will immerse yourself in the exciting challenge of driving strategic growth initiatives that extend well beyond conventional automotive sales. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around uncovering promising new business avenues—ranging from after-sales services to innovative mobility solutions—and rigorously assessing their viability through comprehensive research and analysis. - Identify and evaluate new business opportunities outside of core vehicle sales, such as after-sales services, used car operations, strategic partnerships, and adjacent mobility ventures.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies and develop detailed business cases to assess potential initiatives from concept through to execution readiness.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic planning and support data-driven decision making.
- Work collaboratively with headquarters teams, local departments, and external partners to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Prepare structured reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management to facilitate informed decision making on new business directions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating resources, timelines, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful implementation of approved initiatives.
- Support the Planning Director in developing long-term strategies that align with organisational goals for growth within Indonesia’s dynamic automotive sector.
- Monitor ongoing performance of new ventures post-launch by tracking key metrics and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Foster strong working relationships across internal teams and external networks to enhance knowledge sharing and promote best practices in business development.
