What you'll do:
As a Mandarin-Speaking Business Development Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving the growth of our client's business. You will identify new opportunities within the freight forwarding sector, acting as the primary point of contact for all customer-related matters. Your ability to develop strategies for penetrating new markets will be key to expanding their customer base. You'll also monitor market trends and competitor activities, using this information to inform your strategic decisions. Collaborating with product management and operational units, you'll help create attractive products and services that meet customer needs. Staying abreast of changes in market regulations will ensure compliance across all trade lanes.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector
  • Act as the primary liaison with customers on all business-related matters
  • Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Mandarin-Speaking Business Development Manager role will bring a wealth of experience from the freight forwarding industry. With at least five years of sales experience under your belt, you have a proven track record in business development, particularly in 'hunting' sales roles. Your excellent command of both English and Chinese will be crucial in liaising with customers and colleagues alike. Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential, as is your ability to negotiate effectively, communicate clearly, and build strong interpersonal relationships. Your resilience under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines will set you apart.

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the freight forwarding industry
  • Proven track record in business development with a focus on 'hunting' sales roles
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
