What you'll do:
As Regional Head (Automotive - Medan Based) for our client's automotive division based in Medan, you will be at the forefront of shaping their strategic direction. Your role will involve developing and implementing a robust regional sales strategy that aligns with company goals. You will be responsible for increasing vehicle sales, spare parts, after-sales services while also identifying opportunities for expansion within the region. Leading a diverse team of direct sales representatives, dealers, and distributors will be key to your success.
- Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
- Focus on increasing vehicle sales, spare parts, after-sales services, and any other automotive products offered.
- Set and meet sales targets for vehicles, accessories, and services in the region. Ensure a strong focus on both short-term and long-term revenue growth.
- Analyze regional market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that impact automotive sales and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Lead the regional sales team, including direct sales representatives, dealers, and distributors.
- Identify opportunities for expansion within the region, such as opening new dealerships, increasing market penetration in underserved areas, or introducing new product lines.
- Provide detailed sales reports to senior management, including performance data on vehicle sales, parts sales, and service revenue.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Regional Head (Automotive - Medan Based) position brings a wealth of experience from their time spent working within similar roles. With your Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field coupled with your strong background in sales, you are well-equipped to take on this role. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Automobile Engineering, Economics or related field.
- Strong background in sales with at least 10 years of experience in aftersales services, dealer/distributor management and marketing.
- Experience in the automotive industry or any other relevant industries such as electronics, heavy equipment or tools.
- Ability to lead and manage a team with 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- In-depth understanding of the automotive industry including vehicle sales (new and pre-owned), parts, after-sales services and market dynamics in Regional Area.
- Familiarity with sales forecasts for vehicles, spare parts and services in the region.
- Open to be based in Medan
