What you'll do:

As the Business Unit Head of Pet Food, you will be at the helm of our client's thriving pet food division. Your role will involve providing strategic leadership to drive growth, formulating business strategies to meet financial goals, and establishing a high-performing team. You will also be responsible for nurturing relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the pet shop industry. A key part of your role will be driving sales and marketing strategies to expand our client's customer base. Additionally, you will manage the company's Profit & Loss (P&L), ensuring financial targets are not only met but exceeded.

  • Formulate and implement successful business strategies to meet financial goals, enhance market presence, and sustain a competitive advantage
  • Establish, oversee, and motivate a high-performing team of professionals, cultivating an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and ongoing enhancement
  • Nurture and sustain robust connections with pivotal clients and industry stakeholders such as pets shop agents
  • Drive the formulation and execution of extensive sales and marketing strategies to foster new business opportunities and broaden the customer base
  • Examine industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor actions to fortify the company's prominent position in the marketplace
  • Manage the company's Profit and Loss (P&L), ensuring that financial targets and budgets are not just met, but exceeded.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Business Unit Head of Pet Food role brings a wealth of experience in sales or marketing, preferably within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods or Pet Food industry. You will have a proven track record as an innovative and visionary leader, with a knack for nurturing relationships and expanding networks. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be matched by your unwavering focus on achieving results. A history of successfully managing Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities is essential for this role.

  • A minimum Bachelors degree from a reputable University in any field of study
  • Over 12 -15 years of extensive experience in Sales or Marketing across various managerial roles within leading local Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies, Pet Food industry experience is a plus.
  • Extensive network to pet stores, pet food distributors and agents.
  • Demonstrated history as an innovative and visionary leader with a proven track record. Possessing industry expertise in relevant fields and an expansive network could be advantageous
  • Possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skill, a dedicated focus on achieving results, adeptness in problem-solving, and a resolute ability to make strong, effective decisions.
  • Demonstrating a history of successfully managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities is essential.
