This role, based in Jakarta, offers an exciting opportunity to lead and expand the company's fiber optic business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing market entry strategies, building key relationships, overseeing business plans, and ensuring operational efficiency across all aspects of the fiber optic business. This role requires strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

What you'll do:
As the Vice President of Business Development in Telecommunications, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client's fiber optic business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading efforts to enter new markets, developing comprehensive business plans, and building relationships with key stakeholders. You will also lead the engineering/presales team in defining efficient fiber optic routes and review business cases for new projects. Your role will extend to collaborating with the delivery team to ensure projects are completed on time and implementing best practices in project management. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to ensure the financial health of the business.

  • Expand the company’s fiber optic footprint through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
  • Oversee the development of business plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead engineering/presales team in defining efficient fiber optic routes.
  • Review business cases for new fiber optic projects.
  • Collaborate with delivery team to ensure timely project completion.
  • Analyze revenue-related data for fiber optic business.
  • Implement best practices in project management and resource allocation.
  • Oversee compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models.


What you bring:
As the Vice President of Business Development (Telecommunications), you bring a wealth of experience from your previous roles in technology service companies. With at least 5 years of practice within an established technology (fiber optic) service company and 3 years at a senior management role within the TMT sector – Technology Media and Telecom – you have developed a strong professional acumen. Your excellent communication skills allow you to effectively communicate at all levels. You have a deep understanding of business sensitivities, economics, and confidentiality. Your strong background in designing/reviewing fiber optic networks and business cases will be crucial to this role.

  • Strong leadership ability and strategic mindset.
  • Professional business acumen and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Proficient understanding of business sensitivities, economics, and confidentiality.
  • Strong background in designing/reviewing fiber optic networks.
  • Experience in designing/reviewing business cases for fiber optic businesses.
  • Experience in wireless technologies for indoor environments (DAS, small cells) will be an advantage
  • Good relationship with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) is an advantage.
  • Regional exposure is an advantage.
