A reputable logistics company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Branch Manager to lead their shipping and logistics team. This role offers the opportunity to oversee multiple areas, including Aceh, Batam, Medan, and Jambi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the branch's operations, recruiting staff, handling key customers, and developing business strategies. This role requires frequent domestic travel and excellent presentation skills.

What You'll Do:
As a Branch Manager in Medan, you will be instrumental in leading a team of professionals focused on commercial operations for shipping and freight forwarding. Your responsibilities will include overseeing multiple areas, managing the branch's profit and loss accounts, recruiting and training staff, handling key customer relationships, and developing strategic business plans. Fluency in English is essential for this role, as you will report directly to the Managing Director and Operations Director.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency and productivity
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the business
  • Manage key customer relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Prepare detailed reports on branch performance and growth


What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Branch Manager position brings a wealth of experience in shipping and logistics management. You possess strong sales & business acumen coupled with technical knowledge necessary for project execution. Your exceptional leadership skills enable you to effectively manage your team towards achieving set objectives. Your excellent communication skills are evident in your fluency in English; additional language abilities in Mandarin or Hokkien would be beneficial. Your willingness to travel domestically demonstrates your commitment to the role.

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a Branch Manager or similar role in the shipping/logistics industry
  • Strong sales & business acumen with technical knowledge to execute projects
  • Excellent leadership skills with an ability to motivate your team
  • Fluent communication skills with fluency in English; Mandarin/Hokkien language abilities are an added advantage
  • Ability to travel domestically as required by the role
  • Strong negotiation skills with an ability to manage key customer relationships
