About the Export Sales Manager (Frozen Shrimp) Role: The Export Sales Manager (Frozen Shrimp) is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end export process, from building and maintaining overseas distributor networks to ensuring timely delivery of products and managing sales contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share and achieve sales targets for frozen shrimp in the international export market
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributors, agents, and buyers in target markets to ensure consistent sales and growth
Negotiate and finalise sales contracts, ensuring terms are favourable and align with company objectives
Collaborate with buyers to identify and develop new product offerings based on market trends and customer preferences
Oversee the creation of accurate sales forecasts and demand projections to optimise inventory management and production planning
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, coordinating with internal teams to meet customer delivery expectations
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product and process improvements
Lead, train, and manage a team of sales and support staff to achieve individual and team performance goals
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of international regulations, tariffs, and trade requirements to ensure compliance in all export activities
Prepare and present regular sales reports and performance analyses to senior management
The Export Sales Manager (Frozen Shrimp) role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in selling and exporting commodities, particularly in the seafood industry.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, international trade, agriculture, etc.)
Three to five years of successful experience in selling and exporting commodities, preferably with a focus on seafood products, particularly frozen shrimp
Proven track record of building and nurturing a network of distributors, agents, and buyers in international markets
Strong understanding of export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices
Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure favourable terms for the company
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a sales team effectively
Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in using sales and inventory management software
Flexibility to travel internationally as needed
Multilingual skills are a plus, but not mandatory
