About the Business Development Manager (Telco Partner) Role:
Reporting to the Senior Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing large key accounts, which includes developing and implementing framework consistent with the Key Account’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop trust relationships with major client to ensure they do not turn to competition
- Lead on being the business development manager for their telco client/stakeholders
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements and ensure the expectations are managed
- Constantly hunting for new opportunities within the key account that are aligned with the overall strategies
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions to meet their objectives
- Ensure the correct products, propositions and service are delivered to customers in timely manner
- Serve as the link of communication between customers and internal teams
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customer and deal with complaints to maintain trust
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long lasting relationship
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecast to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
- Management of sales and service teams to deliver profitable growth
- Keep up to date market trends and introduce appropriate action
To succeed in this Business Development Manager (Telco Partner) role, you must be adaptable, consumer-centric, and possesses good communication skill.
Key Requirements:
- At least a bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of seven years' working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Experience working as a Business Development Manager (focusing on telco clients) in current and/or previous employment
- Ability to develop new business opportunities and manage existing accounts activities
- Skills and experience in launching online to offline or the other way around for any category
- Keen and excited in launching innovative and new to market initiatives, patience and persistence to establish proof of concept and bring to scale
- Readiness to take a risk and ability to deal with failures
- Good knowledge and has an experience in bundling value added services in retail channel
- Strong business development background, hungry for winning, and growing revenues
- Ability to gather market intelligence, possess good networking skills, and able to research and analyse background of organisations
- Positive mental attitude towards work and loves challenging assignments
- Good team player and can work well with people of all levels
- Good communication skills (written and spoken) in English
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Strength of character to raise and communicate issues or recommendations
