An exciting National Key Account Manager (Freight Forwarding) job opportunity has become available at one of the top multinational shipping companies.

About the National Key Account Manager (Freight Forwarding) Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing existing or new business by coordinating all business development actions and triggering opportunities within specified verticals for larger accounts at a country level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with current commercial policy while focusing key objectives
  • Directly manage key accounts, in accordance with agreed targets, goals and based on company guidelines, eliciting customer needs and selling the company's offer portfolio
  • Ensure understanding of all customer organisations and decision-making processes
  • Negotiate rates with customers in alignment with the business units (BU) and ensure rate sheets are documented and maintained as needed by the BUs
  • Ensure compliance with the company's sales management processes and systems and ensures correct and timely updates in the customer relationship system (CRM)
  • Monitor monthly performance against set targets, and ensure that immediate actions are taken in case of deviations (including timely/accurate reporting)
  • Ensure that account plans are in place based on the key account planning process and template, and are signed off by the respective sales managers
  • Effectively hand over and transition new business into operations to ensure that customer requirements and the company's commitments are met
  • Conduct regular and structured review sessions with assigned customers including; process for continuous improvement and innovation, review of customer strategy and priorities as well as operational excellence delivery

To succeed in this role, you must have three years of experience in key account management.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of six years’ experience with all aspects of freight forwarding
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a manager
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in logistics management
  • Experience with key account management is required
  • Strong leadership skills and focused on customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong time management and negotiation skills
  • Able to converse fluently in Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Based in Jakarta and willing to travel if needed
