Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Development Support Manager to drive their business leadership in Makassar, East Indonesia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to translate national strategies into relevant tactics for the coverage area, monitor competitor activities, identify new channel opportunities, and guide distributors in creating localized trade promotions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing trade plan execution, managing budgets, sourcing relevant premiums and POS materials, and providing direction to distributors. This role requires frequent travel and a passion for sales.

What you'll do:

As a Regional Development Support Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our client's business leadership in East Indonesia. Your primary responsibilities will include translating national strategies into relevant tactics for the coverage area, monitoring competitor activities, identifying new channel opportunities, guiding distributors in creating localized trade promotions, forecasting monthly demand by channel and SKU in coordination with distributors, overseeing trade plan execution through distributors and task forces, managing monthly and year-to-date trade spending budget, and providing trade execution direction to distributors.

  • Translate and implement national strategies into relevant strategies/tactics for the coverage area
  • Monitor competitor activities and recommend mitigation actions
  • Identify new channel opportunities and develop plans for market entry
  • Guide distributors in creating localized trade promotions
  • Forecast monthly demand by channel and SKU in coordination with distributors
  • Oversee trade plan execution through distributors and task forces
  • Manage monthly and year-to-date trade spending budget
  • Provide trade execution direction to distributors

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Regional Development Support Manager role will bring a wealth of experience and a strong skill set. You should have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in any business-related field, and these other key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any business-related field
  • 5+ years of field sales experience in East Indonesia
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales management position
  • Understanding of MT, GT, sub-distributors, and HoReCa/institutional business channels
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Solid leadership and people management skills
  • Action-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Sound decision-making abilities
