What you'll do:

As a Key Account Manager (Food Ingredients), your role will be central in broadening our client's market presence in East Java. Your proactive approach towards seeking new prospects and promoting products will directly contribute to the company's growth. You will be responsible for cultivating customer relationships within your designated region, whilst also identifying opportunities to develop new accounts. Your keen understanding of customer strategy, initiatives, priorities, and launch processes will enable you to effectively negotiate pricing agreements within established guidelines. Furthermore, your ability to implement promotional schemes tailored for channel partners will enhance sales engagement.

  • Broaden market presence in the East Java territory by actively seeking new prospects and promoting flavours from the price list.
  • Assist in monitoring channel partner performance, Sales Planning, and ensure sales activities are aligned with schedules and meet set targets.
  • Cultivate and oversee customer relationships within the designated region, while also seeking opportunities to develop new accounts.
  • Stay updated on customer and competitor activities, maintaining up-to-date customer information.
  • Help in negotiating pricing agreements within established guidelines and manage aspects like credit, pricing, and rebates.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of both internal and external customer presentations.
  • Implement promotional schemes tailored for channel partners to enhance sales engagement.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Key Account Manager (Food Ingredients) role brings a wealth of functional/technical sales experience within the B2B field, ideally within food-related industries. You hold a university degree in Science, Food, Business or equivalent and have a strong understanding of channel partner strategy, including promotions and schemes. Your ability to generate new business is demonstrated by your sales-driven mindset and proactive approach. You are self-motivated, independent, and mature with strong negotiation and communication skills. Fluency in English is required, while local language proficiency is desirable.

  • Minimum 4-5 years of functional/technical sales experience within B2B field.
  • Relevant industry experience in food-related industries are highly advantageous.
  • University degree in Science/Food/Business or equivalent.
  • Understanding of key elements of Channel partner strategy including promotions/schemes, besides the ability to effectively use KPIs to monitor channel partner performance.
  • Demonstrated capability to generate new business and basic understanding of customer strategy, initiatives, priorities, and launch processes.
  • Strong sales-driven mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Self-motivation, independence, and a strong sense of maturity are essential.
  • Strong negotiation and effective communication skills is ideal, particularly in customer and stakeholder interactions.
