A very exciting Key Account Manager (Freight Forwarding) job has become available at one of the leading multinational logistics company in Indonesia.
About the Key Account Manager (Freight Forwarding) Role:
Reporting to the SEA Commercial Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing key account strategies, developing long-term strategic relationships with key clients and reporting on account performance to support the company in achieving its sales KPIs and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s business and identify/explore commercial opportunities in the region
- Develop with Head of Commercial Logistics and execute sales strategies for key accounts managed, including developing business development targets (OKRs) budgeting and KPIs
- Build, manage and extend relationships with key accounts in the region to achieve OKRs and KPIs
- Monitor performance of strategic plans and evaluate successes, risks and opportunities and formulate plans to address these
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the company’s overall sales strategy for the region to enhance P&L
- Manage relationships across the logistics value chain (e.g., agents, shippers) within the region to guarantee a seamless customer experience
- Commit to compliance with applicable HSSE requirement in the responsible fields/departments
- Allocate adequate resources to eliminate/reduce identified HSSE risks to as low as reasonably practicable, and supervise the HSSE enforcement to get the desire results
- Influence critical HSSE behaviour expectations by demonstrating role-model in the responsible field/department
- Deliver HSSE KPIs cascaded to the responsible fields/departments
To succeed in this role, you must be familiar with the local logistics market and have established network with its players.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in business administration, shipping/logistics management or equivalent disciplines
- Minimum of eight year's of experience in sales/account management experience with a freight forwarding/logistics company
- Experience in building a business from zero and building a strong team
- Experience in freight-forwarding/logistics sales, preferably covering multiple verticals such as automotive, consumer goods, technology, etc.
- Experienced working in customer-centric environment (Agile experience is a plus)
- Worked directly with key accounts, with proven track record of building and maintaining high quality, long-term relationships
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales drive, proactive and hands-on approach
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Strong network and connections with the market and its key players to bring in business
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders from both internal and external parties
- Based in Jakarta and willing to travel
