An exceptional opportunity awaits an accomplished procurement professional to take the helm as Head of Procurement for a landmark luxury hospitality and lifestyle destination in Bali. This role offers the chance to shape the procurement function for a transformative 100-hectare greenfield project, featuring four internationally branded five-star hotels, a championship golf course, and world-class club and sports facilities.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with elevating procurement operations to international standards, managing a vast network of global suppliers, and ensuring seamless delivery across all phases of hotel construction and fit-out. With a focus on both commercial efficiency and uncompromising luxury, this position is ideal for those who thrive in complex, multicultural environments and are passionate about delivering excellence at every stage. Enjoy the unique blend of working in one of Asia’s most desirable locations while benefiting from a comprehensive expatriate package that supports your professional ambitions and personal wellbeing.

  • Lead the procurement function for a high-profile luxury hospitality development in Bali, overseeing all aspects from strategy to execution across multiple international hotel brands and extensive leisure facilities.
  • Drive the transition to international procurement standards, building robust systems and processes while managing a diverse team and complex supplier networks.
  • Benefit from an attractive expatriate package including housing allowance, school fees for dependents, annual home leave, and long-term career prospects within a prominent investment group.

What you'll do:

As Head of Procurement Luxury Hospitality and Construction, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of one of Southeast Asia’s most ambitious hospitality developments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve setting strategic direction for all procurement activities while fostering close collaboration with internal teams and external partners. You will be instrumental in designing systems that bring transparency and efficiency to vendor management across multiple categories essential for five-star hotel operations. By transforming the existing team into a high-performing unit aligned with international benchmarks, you will ensure that every aspect of sourcing—from construction materials to bespoke furnishings—meets exacting standards. Your ability to balance luxury aspirations with commercial sensibility will be key as you navigate complex negotiations with global suppliers. Regular engagement with senior leadership will see you influencing major decisions that impact project timelines and outcomes. Success in this role means not only delivering on time and within budget but also setting new benchmarks for quality and operational excellence in luxury hospitality procurement.

  • Establish and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy tailored to the needs of a $100M+ luxury greenfield development encompassing hotels, golf courses, and club facilities.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve procurement systems capable of tracking an extensive database of vendors across construction, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), OS&E (Operating Supplies & Equipment), and hospitality categories.
  • Evaluate current staff capabilities and lead the transformation of the procurement team by recruiting, training, or reallocating talent to meet rigorous international luxury standards.
  • Oversee category management for specialised procurement areas such as construction materials, high-end furnishings, fixtures, equipment, and operational supplies required by leading global hotel operators.
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders including Group CFOs, Project CEOs, international banking partners, and global suppliers to ensure alignment on commercial objectives and timely project delivery.
  • Champion engineering value by balancing premium quality requirements with cost-effective sourcing strategies that support both luxury positioning and financial targets.
  • Develop strong relationships with local Indonesian partners as well as international vendors to ensure smooth cross-border transactions and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for innovation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement within the procurement function.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to ethical standards, sustainability goals, and best practices in corporate governance relevant to large-scale hospitality projects.

What you bring:

To excel as Head of Procurement Luxury Hospitality and Construction, your background should reflect significant achievements in managing large-scale hotel development projects where attention to detail is paramount. Your expertise should encompass not only technical knowledge of procurement processes but also an understanding of what sets world-class luxury properties apart. You will bring proven experience working alongside renowned hotel brands or operators where adherence to strict quality controls is non-negotiable. Your approach should be highly collaborative—valuing input from colleagues at all levels while maintaining clear communication channels with external stakeholders. A deep appreciation for cultural nuances will enable you to operate effectively within both Indonesian settings and broader international contexts. Your ability to inspire trust among team members combined with your commitment to ethical sourcing practices will set you apart as a dependable leader who delivers results without compromise.

  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end procurement functions for large-scale luxury hotel construction projects from greenfield through completion stages.
  • In-depth knowledge of international procurement standards applicable to five-star hospitality developments including familiarity with global brand requirements such as Marriott or Ritz-Carlton.
  • Extensive network of reputable suppliers across construction materials, FF&E, OS&E, and other categories critical to high-end hotel operations.
  • Proven ability to build or restructure teams capable of meeting demanding quality expectations while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in negotiating complex contracts that optimise value without compromising on quality or timelines.
  • Track record of effective stakeholder management involving C-suite executives, project leaders, financial institutions, and multinational partners.
  • Experience navigating both local Indonesian business practices as well as international regulatory environments relevant to cross-border sourcing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to bridge cultural differences within diverse teams and supplier bases.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia would be advantageous given the regional context.
