- Play a key role in defining and executing end-to-end logistics and supply chain strategies for a major automotive OEM with ambitious growth plans in Indonesia, reporting directly to senior leadership.

What you'll do:
As Head of Logistics and Supply Chain, you will play an integral part in shaping the operational backbone of one of Indonesia’s most prominent automotive distributors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating complex logistics flows from international ports through local warehousing to nationwide dealerships. You will be entrusted with ensuring that every aspect of the supply chain operates smoothly—balancing efficiency with strict regulatory compliance. By leveraging your expertise in vendor management, financial oversight, team mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Sales, Procurement, After-Sales, and Finance, you will drive both immediate results and long-term improvements. Your ability to anticipate challenges before they arise—and implement robust solutions—will be crucial in maintaining high service levels across the dealer network while supporting the company’s ambitious expansion goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and supply chain strategies that align with aggressive business objectives and sales targets set by senior management.
- Oversee demand planning, shipment scheduling, and inventory coordination processes to optimise stock levels while minimising risks associated with aged inventory.
- Deliver regular performance reports, actionable insights, and thorough risk assessments on supply chain operations directly to the Managing Director.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen to enhance operational reliability, productivity, data accuracy, and overall process efficiency.
- Serve as the primary leader responsible for all customs clearance activities related to vehicle importation, ensuring full compliance with Indonesian government regulations at every stage.
- Maintain strict regulatory adherence regarding vehicle homologation (SUT/SRUT), import quota management (TPT), and other critical automotive requirements.
- Define, document, and enforce detailed standard operating procedures for customs processes, export-import activities, and distribution channels to uphold audit readiness and compliance integrity.
- Optimise in-land logistics networks by managing vehicle movement from port terminals to warehouses and final dealers across Indonesia.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight forwarders; conduct rigorous performance reviews and negotiate service terms to achieve optimal value.
- Monitor departmental budgets closely by analysing cost drivers and implementing impactful cost-reduction initiatives throughout all phases of logistics operations.

- Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior-level roles within automotive logistics or supply chain management at an OEM or authorised partner manufacturer environment focused on CBU/SKD distribution.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Indonesian import regulations, customs clearance processes, vehicle homologation requirements (SUT/SRUT), import quota management (TPT), and related compliance standards.
- Proven track record of effective leadership at managerial or department head level including team development, mentoring staff members across multiple functions within logistics planning or customs clearance.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts with third-party vendors such as 3PLs or freight forwarders while conducting regular performance evaluations for service quality assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or another relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
- Exceptional analytical skills supported by proficiency in supply chain/ERP systems such as SAP for data-driven decision making.
- Outstanding communication abilities in both Bahasa Indonesia and English enabling clear interaction with internal teams as well as external partners including government authorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills fostering collaboration between cross-functional teams such as Sales, Procurement, After-Sales Service Departments or Finance for seamless workflow integration.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies like Kaizen aimed at enhancing operational reliability productivity data accuracy within large-scale organisations.
