What you'll do:

As an Airfreight Operations Lead – CargoWise Expert, you will play an instrumental role in managing end-to-end airfreight processes from shipment booking through final delivery. Your daily responsibilities will centre around maintaining flawless documentation standards, ensuring system integrity within CargoWise, coordinating with multiple stakeholders across the supply chain, and proactively resolving any operational issues that arise. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail when monitoring timelines and compliance requirements. You will also support account management functions for key clients while helping develop best practices that enable future team growth. • Personally oversee the entire airfreight lifecycle, including booking shipments with airlines, negotiating space allocations, and scheduling flights to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare, review, and issue all essential documentation such as MAWB, HAWB, manifests, and permits while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain complete data accuracy within the CargoWise system by updating milestones and ensuring files are audit-ready for billing purposes at all times.
• Act as the primary liaison between ground handlers, trucking vendors, customs brokers, and internal teams to guarantee smooth cargo uplift and operational flow.
• Proactively troubleshoot operational challenges such as rolled cargo, space constraints, or documentation discrepancies to minimise disruptions and maintain service quality.
• Support account management activities by confirming rates and handling specialised requests for major global shippers across retail or technology sectors.
• Monitor operational timelines meticulously by tracking ETD/ETA schedules and meeting strict airline cut-off times to uphold service commitments.
• Ensure adherence to IATA regulations, Dangerous Goods handling protocols, and Indonesian export/import procedures throughout all stages of airfreight operations.
• Lead crisis management efforts by identifying bottlenecks early and implementing effective solutions that safeguard customer satisfaction and operational integrity.
• Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge, supporting training initiatives, and fostering a collaborative environment as the department grows.

What you bring:

• Demonstrated daily proficiency in using CargoWise (Air Module), including generating bookings and managing job files independently without supervision.
• Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in airfreight operations or freight forwarding with comprehensive understanding of airline booking processes.
• Thorough knowledge of IATA regulations, Dangerous Goods handling basics, and standard Indonesian export/import procedures relevant to airfreight logistics.
• Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to meet strict airline cut-off times while managing multiple operational timelines effectively.
• Experience managing large-scale global accounts within retail or technology sectors is highly advantageous for this position.
• Possession of PPJK license and IATA Dangerous Goods certificate is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certifications if required is appreciated.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with ground handlers, trucking vendors, customs brokers, and internal teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex operational bottlenecks calmly under pressure while maintaining service quality for customers.
