A Export and Import Manager job has become available in the South Jakarta office of a leading European-based company specialising in banknotes printing and currency security technology. This role is for a Logistics Manager with successful experience in export-import.

About the Export and Import Manager Role:
In this job, you will lead a team and be responsible for the smooth running of their export-import activities and ensure excellent SLA for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
• Direct, optimise and coordinate full order cycle
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers
• Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Comply with laws, regulations
• Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
• Ensure quality of service and processes within the logistics department
• Demonstrate solid understanding of and familiarity with the government’s current export/import regulations, requirements, and compliance

To succeed in this Export and Import Manager role, you will need to be experienced in customs clearance, have the ability to lead and develop team members as well as being a critical thinker to anticipate any potential problems

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering
• 10 or more years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
• Demonstrated vendor management experience in warehousing and transportation across inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics
• Project management experience
• Experience demonstrating effective leadership, directly or in-directly, for multi-disciplinary teams is required
• Self-motivated, well-organised, service-oriented, has initiative and independent
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
• Good command of English (both spoken and written)
