A leading oil and gas firm is seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer (Oil & Gas) to join their team in Indonesia. In this job, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining process safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

About the Senior Process Safety Engineer (Oil & Gas) Role:
Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying potential hazards, developing safety procedures, and facilitating the safe design, construction, and operation of facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards in LNG processes and operations
• Develop and maintain process safety management (PSM) programmes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and manage process safety risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in the design and review of LNG facility layouts, process equipment, and instrumentation to ensure compliance with safety requirements
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence

To succeed in this Senior Process Safety Engineer (Oil & Gas) role, you must have in-depth knowledge understanding of LNG processes, equipment, and safety standards.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in process safety within the oil and gas industry
• Knowledge of process hazard analysis (PHA) techniques, such as HAZOP, FMEA, and LOPA
• Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) regulations and standards, such as OSHA 1910.119, API RP 754, and IEC 61511
• Prior experience with LNG projects and knowledge of international codes and standards, such as NFPA 59A and EN 1473, is desirable
• Professional certifications in process safety, such as Certified Process Safety Professional (CCPSC) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP), is a plus
• Willing to travel
