An exciting Cocoa Technology Engineer job has just become available at one of the most respected global FMCG companies based in Sulawesi. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, this is a role for an R&Ds who is a leader in their field.
About the Cocoa Technology Engineer Role: This is a great opportunity/job/role for the Cocoa Technology Engineer to develop and execute company's science and technology programmes. Your main responsibility will be to lead process development initiatives, including identification, alignment, communication of cocoa and chocolate processing and technical validation for capacity extension globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Own, design and develop global cocoa raw materials, processes, recipes and specifications that translate to full scale production and provide competitive advantage to the company
Design and execute factory trials to validate cocoa raw materials, chocolates, and process technologies following scientific rigour and corporate governance
Execute quality management systems throughout the pipeline, beginning with origin raw materials through to the shelf life of finished products, in order to analyse trends, provide insights and identify root causes
Demonstrate advanced understanding of key recipe, raw material and process specifications that deliver quality product at expected scale
Manage advanced project management competency for meeting budget and timing expectations for project execution
Globally shape and communicate new chocolate, raw materials and process best practices with internal and external stakeholders
Write reports, communicate findings, and ensure proper knowledge management
Own and deliver content for chocolate, raw materials and process functional competency programs (e.g. chocolate school)
Support other global and regional team members development through coaching and mentoring
To succeed in this Cocoa Technology Engineer job, you must be self-driven, outspoken and can work under minimal supervision.
Key Requirements:
Food science, engineering, chemistry or equivalent BS degree is required
Four or more years of experiences in product/process research with successful project completions is preferred
Established demonstrable network with cross-functional peers, communities of practice, trade/industry associations
Ability to operate pilot equipment and perform detailed/repetitive laboratory testing for extended periods of time
Design and communicate research through the understanding and application of mathematical and scientific principles
Advanced technical expertise in food science, process engineering, Quality Management Systems, and GMP
Excellent interpersonal skills and maintain positive working relationships (HPC behaviours)
Ability to learn area specific software (PowerBI, Tableu, Minitab, Smartsheet)
Flexible to changing priorities/timelines with ability to work independently and free from unplanned support
