Our client is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Supply Chain to join their team. What you'll do:
As VP Supply Chain (Food Ingredients), you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies that optimize our supply chain processes. Your role will involve everything from demand forecasting to production scheduling. You'll work closely with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring their reliability. A key aspect of your role will be managing the movement of goods from manufacturers to customers. You'll monitor inventory levels, balancing the costs of excess stock against the risk of stockouts. Risk management will also fall under your remit - identifying potential disruptions within the supply chain and taking steps to mitigate them. Quality assurance is another crucial aspect of this role; you'll work alongside our QA teams to implement measures that ensure our products meet high standards. Lastly, you'll aim to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on product quality.
- Creating and implementing supply chain strategies, including demand forecasting, inventory planning, and production scheduling
- Identifying and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with suppliers
- Ensure the compliance to the government regulations
- Managing the movement of goods from manufacturers or suppliers to distribution centres and ultimately to customers
- Monitoring inventory levels to balance the costs associated with holding excess stock and the risk of stockouts
- Identifying and mitigating risks within the supply chain, such as supplier disruptions, natural disasters, or geopolitical issues
- Ensuring the quality of products and services throughout the supply chain
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining or improving the quality of products and services
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers for reliability and performance
- Aligning supply chain practices with environmental regulations and ethical standards
What you bring:
As our ideal candidate for Vice President of Supply Chain, you bring a wealth of experience in supply chain operations. With at least 15 years' experience under your belt, particularly in logistics and export-import operations, you're well-versed in all aspects of this field. Your background includes working with sea freight and land transport, giving you a broad understanding of different transportation methods. You're proficient in English and have a good understanding of customs regulations. Above all, you're a strong leader who can guide our supply chain operations to success.
- Bachelor Degree from reputable university
- Minimum 15+ years in supply chain operations, especially in Logistics and Export Import
- Experience with sea freight and land transport
- Good English Proficiency
- Understanding about customs regulation
- Strong leadership skills
