Our client is seeking a seasoned VP Operations (Logistics) to play a pivotal role in overseeing, managing, and enhancing their operations. This includes ground operations and control tower activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all fulfilment centre activities, providing strategic and operational leadership to the team, and leveraging technology to bring continuous improvement to the operations.

What you'll do:

As the VP Operations (Logistics), you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of our client's operations. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing all fulfilment centre activities, ensuring they align with budgets and key performance metrics. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to the in-country team, fostering a culture of collaboration and commitment. Overseeing vendor and sourcing supplier partnerships will fall under your purview, as well as monitoring daily output to ensure goal achievement. A significant part of your role will involve leveraging technology and innovation to drive continuous improvement within the fulfilment operations.

  • Manage all fulfilment centre activities while ensuring results align with budgets and key performance metrics
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the in-country team
  • Oversee vendor and sourcing supplier partnerships and maintain knowledge of operations
  • Monitor daily output to ensure achievement of goals, making adjustments using available resources whenever necessary
  • Leverage access to technology and innovation to bring continuous improvement to the fulfilment operations


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the VP Operations (Logistics) position brings a wealth of experience in leading logistics functions, warehouses, and fulfilment operations. With at least 15 years' experience in similar roles, you are familiar with the flow of logistics operations. Your strong project management skills enable you to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards. You possess robust strategic planning abilities that allow you to guide teams towards achieving organisational goals. Your knack for continuous improvement drives you to constantly seek ways to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Minimum of 15 years' experience leading logistics functions, warehouses, and fulfilment operations
  • Preferably have experience working within the logistics industry
  • Familiarity with logistics operation flow
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong strategic planning and continuous improvement skills
