A GM Operations (Feedmill) job has become available at a leading manufacturing business in Indonesia, to support a large, complex feedmill business unit.

About the GM Operations (Feedmill) Role:
In this business critical role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of poultry production and processing. You will also take involves a combination of strategic planning, operational management, and ensuring the efficient and safe production of poultry products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives, including production targets, cost control, and quality standards
• Oversee and optimise poultry production processes, from breeding and hatchery operations to broiler farming and processing facilities
• Ensure that all poultry products meet quality and safety standards, including compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage operational budgets effectively to minimise costs while maintaining production efficiency
• Coordinate the supply chain, including procurement of feed, equipment, and logistics for the transportation of poultry products to customers
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of supervisors, production staff, and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient use of resources
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to animal welfare, environmental regulations, and health and safety standards
• Use data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to meet customer demands and foster positive relationships with clients
• Promote sustainable practices in feedmill/poultry farming and processing, including waste management and resource conservation

To succeed in this role you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and possess a keen understanding of feedmill/poultry operations.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or a related field
• Proven experience in feedmill operations, with a minimum of 5 - 10 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of feedmill/poultry industry best practices, regulations, and trends
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
• Willing to travel
