Purchasing Manager (Mining Construction)

A logistics services company for the mining/construction industry is recruiting a Purchasing Manager (Mining Construction) in Jakarta, Indonesia to join their team. In this Purchasing Manager job, you will be responsible for leading all purchasing related job.

About the Purchasing Manager (Mining Construction) Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for defining the broad purchasing strategy, delivering the cost saving initiatives and managing all purchasing related for all projects that the company manage. You will also take the lead providing purchasing related work including sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for All Purchase related job
• Implementing the instruction, regulation, procedure related purchasing job
• Setting up SOP/Standard template of purchasing related work
• Maintaining and updating the data base of qualified suppliers
• Evaluating and confirming the new suppliers application (to be our qualified suppliers)
• Performing the suppliers annual audit
• Responsible for import/export certificate
• Assisting All Division to negotiate with suppliers
• Assisting All Division to review the agreement/contract from suppliers
• Maintaining good relationship with related government
• Completing related task assigned by Operations

The successful Purchasing Manager (Mining Construction) is strategy-focused, have a business mindset and driven.

Key Requirements:

• Master's or bachelor’s degree from Engineering will be expected for this role
• At least 10 years' of working experience in ERP System
• Required Skill Negotiation, price comparison, product knowledge, sourcing
• Specialised in purchasing/inventory/material and warehouse management or equivalent
• Work well in team and also autonomously
• Good skill in communication and maintain good relationship with vendor
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Analytical and strategic mindset
• Creative person, initiative, Honest, Proactive, Innovative, eager to learn
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good Communication in English both oral and written
• Have a Leadership
• Willing to work on a tight schedule
• Experience in container/logistic/construction/mining/oil and gas Industry is a must
