In this business critical role you will be responsible for the successful development of integrated and digital business for the agency, as well as the development of digital strategy for client brands.
About the Head of Digital Role:
The Head of Digital’s primary responsibility is to help cross-functional teams (digital and non-digital) develop big campaign-able ideas driven by value exchanges between a consumer (user) and a brand (business). This involves evaluating consumer research, brand information, trends and relevant data in order to recommend digital touch point and creative communications solutions that marry brand goals with consumer needs.
- Spot digital trends, see the digital future and understand consumer behaviour and match them with brand desires to create truly beneficial opportunities and solutions
- Educate and inspire Account Directors, General strategists, Creative and Media directors about best practices and emerging trends
- Evaluating consumer research, brand information, trends and relevant data in order to recommend digital touch point and creative communications solutions
- Guide multi-disciplinary teams of general and digital strategists, account and project managers, software engineers, gateway integrators, data analysts, digital designers and information architects of the project
- Responsible for the growth and leadership of the digital capabilities/team in the agency, and help nurture talent
To succeed in the Head of Digital job, you need to have the ability to work effectively and co-cooperatively with senior business leaders, across borders, and internal matrix.
- Provide extensive knowledge of digital communication and engagement methods
- Balance the technical skills with marketing agency experience
- Integrate and combine best practices from Digital Marketing, Promotional Marketing, social and CRM
- Provide a perspective on creative, functional, and technical direction of solutions being delivered to the client.
- Partner with Measurement Strategy teams to provide insightful reporting
- Continually research new developments in the online industry
- Be on the lookout for new digital work opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
- Understand industry and strive to incorporate them seamlessly in the agency’s day-to-day processes
- Find opportunities to keep the rest of the agency current on the latest digital marketing trends
- Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation skills
- BA/BS degree in marketing, technology
- Minimum of 5 years interactive agency related experience
