What you'll do:
As a Regional Ethics and Compliance Manager, you will be entrusted with championing ethical conduct while ensuring robust legal compliance across all facets of the organisation’s regional operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close partnership with Legal and HR teams as you proactively identify emerging legal risks, develop responsive policies, coordinate regulatory engagements, lead audits or investigations into potential breaches, and drive cultural initiatives that embed compliance into every level of the business. Success in this role requires not only technical knowledge but also strong interpersonal skills to foster trust among colleagues while promoting transparency. - Responsible for monitoring and ensuring continuous compliance with applicable national and international laws relevant to the organization’s business operations. Must possess experience overseeing compliance across Southeast Asia (SEA) and Greater China regions.
- Identify, assess, and escalate significant legal risks in close collaboration with the Legal team to ensure timely mitigation strategies are implemented.
- Support the creation, review, and implementation of internal policies that align with evolving legal requirements and best practices.
- Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, or enforcement actions by preparing thorough documentation and facilitating effective communication.
- Act as a liaison between the organisation and regulatory or enforcement bodies alongside Legal colleagues, ensuring transparent engagement at all times.
- Prepare detailed briefings and support documentation for regulatory inspections or investigations to ensure readiness and accuracy.
- Track changes in regulatory landscapes, assess their potential impact on business operations, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Lead or support internal audits and investigations related to compliance breaches or misconduct, applying structured methodologies for fact-finding and resolution.
- Collaborate with Legal and HR teams to ensure that all investigations are managed ethically, legally soundly, and in accordance with company policies.
- Recommend corrective actions following investigations and monitor their implementation to ensure continuous improvement in compliance processes.
