An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel to join a leading organisation in the energy sector. This role offers the chance to handle all legal matters related to the day-to-day operation of the company and its assets, providing consultation and relevant legal advice to all users within the company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with external legal counsels, manage commercial agreements, and provide training and awareness on business contract processes.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Legal Counsel, your role will be pivotal in handling all legal matters related to the day-to-day operation of the company. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal and commercial documents while ensuring that all operations are carried out in compliance with laws and regulations. Your expertise will be crucial in managing commercial agreements, providing training on business contract processes, offering legal advice on various matters, handling corporate secretarial related works, and participating in dispute resolution and litigation.

• Coordinate and monitor work quality of external legal counsels
• Draft, review and negotiate legal and commercial documents
• Manage and implement commercial agreements such as EPCIC Contracts, Operational and Maintenance Agreement, lease agreement, gas sale agreement, sales and purchase agreement etc.
• Design and implement guidelines and policies for business contract process and management
• Provide guidance to ensure operations are carried out in compliance with laws and regulations
• Provide training on business contract process
• Provide legal advice on any matters
• Handle corporate secretarial related works
• Participate in dispute resolution and litigation including evaluating alternative dispute resolution techniques, early case analysis, coordinating with external legal counsel, negotiating settlements and agreements
