Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Manager to join their team. As a Single Contributor This role offers an exciting opportunity to take the lead in legal and compliance matters. You will be instrumental in managing and mitigating risks emanating from legal and compliance matters within the company and supporting regional projects in specific areas of expertise.

What you'll do:
As a Legal Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's approach to legal matters. Your expertise will be crucial in advising on a wide array of legal and compliance issues. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance matrices and dashboards that facilitate review by key stakeholders. Your ability to establish sound contract life cycle management will be essential. You will also be tasked with localising and cascading compliance policies to ensure adherence to laws and ethical codes. Furthermore, your leadership skills will be put to use as you lead risk management initiatives.
- Advise on a broad range of legal and compliance matters including third party risk management, educational programs, commercial engagements with healthcare professionals, data protection, privacy matters, employment law, consumer law, corporate affairs, regulations governing medical device industry.
- Be an effective business partner advising on day-to-day business transactions, engagement with vendors, consultants and distributors including contract review and negotiations.
- Maintain compliance matrices and dashboards for review by the Regional Governance, Risk, and Compliance Committee and Board of Directors.
- Establish, manage, and socialise sound contract life cycle management across APAC.
- Localise and cascade compliance policies, procedures, SOPs to secure compliance with applicable laws and industry code of ethics.
- Develop, conduct, organise compliance training in policies, standards, SOPs, best practices.
- Support cascading the Data Protection and Privacy Programme in Indonesia to secure compliance with data protection and privacy laws.
- Draw up, manage file registry, article of association, other statutory documents.
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Legal Manager position, you bring a wealth of experience in the manufacturing and Production industry, particularly in contract review and negotiations. Your law degree from a reputable university in Indonesia, sets you apart. You are known for your flexible personality and excellent communication skills. Your ability to work effectively within a team and think strategically is highly valued. Furthermore, your experience with compliance training and third party risk management will be crucial in this role.
- 10 or more years of experience with at least three years in the manufacturing industry with knowledge in contract review and negotiations.
- Bachelor's degree in law from a reputable university in Indonesia.
- Flexible personality with good communication skills.
- Team player with strategic thinking capabilities.
- Bilingual in Bahasa and English with superb communication skills both in writing as well speaking.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
