Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Ethic & Compliance Manager to lead their operations in Indonesia. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations while adhering to both national and international compliance standards of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contractual agreements, developing and implementing corporate ethics and compliance programs.

What you'll do:

As a Legal Ethic & Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the legal, ethic, and compliance operations in Indonesia. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contractual agreements that support business operations. Your role will also involve developing comprehensive ethics and compliance programs that align with legal regulations. You will act as the primary contact for internal investigations, especially those arising from whistleblower reports. Your expertise will be vital in providing legal oversight for the company's manufacturing facilities while ensuring they comply with relevant laws. Collaborating with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure consistent application of legal principles across the company.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contractual agreements to support business operations.
  • Develop and implement corporate ethics and compliance programs to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal investigations, particularly in response to whistleblower reports, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
  • Provide legal oversight and guidance for the company’s manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of legal principles and company policies.
  • Monitor compliance and conduct internal audits.
  • Manage whistleblower reports and coordinate internal investigations.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risks, develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stay updated with evolving local and international laws that could impact the company’s compliance landscape.
  • Design training programs on ethical behaviour, legal compliance, risk management.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Legal Ethic & Compliance Manager position brings at least five years of experience as a legal professional with exposure to corporate and compliance matters. Experience working in a law firm would be advantageous. You should have a strong understanding of ethics and compliance within a business context, particularly in the manufacturing sector. A PERADI license is highly desirable. Your excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills will be crucial in this role. The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal professional with exposure to corporate and compliance matters.
  • Experience in a law firm is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of ethics and compliance within a business context, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
  • PERADI license is highly desirable.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
