One of the biggest tobacco companies in Indonesia is currently recrutiing for a Corporate Secretary job under the Investor Relations team to support their business in Jakarta.
About the Corporate Secretary (Tobacco Company) Role: You will be responsible for overseeing the company's compliance with the prevailing rules and regulations. You will ensure compliance with law guidelines and provide legal advice to Management and Board about all relevant issues, shareholders receive timely, complete and accurate information about all material matters relating to the company, and transparency of the company's disclosures and internal and external communications. This position reports to the CFO of the company.
Coordinate and communicate on various Board meeting to support compliance of Limited corporation (PT) in Indonesia
Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues
Monitor the company's compliance with the company law and other statutory provisions and related statutory regulations, in close coordination with the Legal Department
Ensure shareholders are kept regularly informed about the company's actions, financial position and other material matters
Conduct General Meeting of Shareholders, Board of Directors' and commissioners' Meetings, as well as documenting the minutes of such meetings
Ensure that both Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors are promptly informed of any relevant regulatory changes and that they understand their implications
Responsible for the company's orientation program for the Board of Directors and/or Commissioners
To succeed in the Corporate Secretary (Tobacco Company) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix, analytical ability, attention to detail, logical reasoning, persuasiveness, time management, and costumer oriented services.
Bachelor’s degree in law, or other relevant degree (Political Science, Economy, etc.), 6 – 10 years experiences as corporate secretary, legal counsel or Personal Assistant
Mandarin speaker is preferable
Excellent management skills, be able to work under pressure and strong personality is essential.
Business understanding in corporate law
Good communication and negotiation skills
