About the Head Legal Palm Oil Manufacturing (North Sumatra) Role:
As the Head Legal Palm Oil Manufacturing (North Sumatra), you will report directly to the Regional GM based out of Indonesia. The Head Legal Palm Oil Manufacturing (North Sumatra) will play a vital role in ensuring the legality and compliance of manufacturing operations, managing licenses, resolving disputes, and navigating local government regulations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all legal aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations
• Manage and update licenses, permits, and legal documentation to ensure the company's operations run smoothly
• Lead the dispute resolution process, working to minimise legal risks and protect the company's interests
• Develop a deep understanding of local government policies and regulations affecting our industry
• Preferred background in Oleochemical or Personal Care FMCG to better understand the specific needs and challenges of the palm oil manufacturing industry
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the legal team

To succeed in this Head Legal Palm Oil Manufacturing (North Sumatra), you will need to have a strong logic and critical thinking with great English communication skills.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in law with a strong academic record
• Minimum of three years in a leadership position
• Proven experience as a legal professional in the palm oil industry
• Bar Indonesia (Peradi License) is mandatory
• Excellent knowledge of local government regulations and policies
• Strong dispute resolution skills and the ability to navigate complex legal situations
• Background in oleo chemical or FMCG personal care manufacturing is preferred
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a legal team effectively
• Willingness to relocate to the Southeast Asia (SEA) Hub for three to six months as part of the training programme, and then be based in North Sumatra
