One of the prominent private equity company is currently recruiting for a Legal Counsel job. This is a sole contributor position based in Jakarta.

About the Legal Counsel Role:
You will be responsible for protecting and supporting the business, innovations and assets by designing and ensuring a robust business advisory and business contract review and management for the business, including providing best consultation and advice on the third party engagement structure and business projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse legal risks and opportunities when advising the business on engagement with third parties and managing business contracts
• As a single contributor, manage all related stakeholders of the business transactions with reasonable effort
• Design and implement guidelines and policies for business contract process and management
• Provide training and awareness to the business on the business contract process
• Provide legal advice and consultation to the business on any legal matters

To succeed in the Legal Counsel job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:

• Law degree from a reputable university, preferably a master's degree
• 8 - 12 years' experience in both in house and private practices
• Strong experience in general corporate legal matters, M&A transactions and contract laws
• Interest in Mining industry is a plus
• Agility and ability to manage complexity
• Collaborative mindset and attitude
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and self motivated
