About the (Senior) Legal Counsel Role:
As the (Senior) Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to our operations, procurement, litigation, and corporate secretarial functions. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient handling of both commercial and operational legal matters, ensuring that all activities align with legal standards and protect the company's interests. Reporting to the Senior Legal Manager, you will collaborate closely with internal departments and external parties to offer legal insights, negotiate agreements, and mitigate legal risks across various aspects of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the legal department to provide timely and efficient legal support for operational and commercial matters
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of SKK Migas procedures, guidelines, and regulations to facilitate effective communication and compliance
• Ensuring strict compliance with legal requirements in all company activities to safeguard our interests
• Handling and managing legal matters related to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, ensuring alignment with legal standards and business objectives
• Offering legal expertise to provide certainty in protection, indemnity, and legal exposure during business operations
• Managing legal aspects of domestic and international gas sales contracts, procurement, standards, procedures, and litigation
• Coordinating with internal departments and the Manager to deliver comprehensive legal services
• Assisting the Manager in external communications and liaising with relevant parties, including government institutions and co-ventures
• Supporting the Manager in interactions with our head office and affiliated companies

To succeed in this (Senior) Legal Counsel role, you will need experience and deep involvement in the upstream LNG industry and strong motivation to work independently.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of five years' experience in legal matters within the upstream oil and gas industry
• Bachelor's degree in Law (S1)
• Proficiency with Production Sharing Contracts and other pertinent agreements in the upstream oil and gas sector
• Familiarity with oil and gas laws, regulations, and practices, including SKK Migas procedures, guidelines, and regulations
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective planning and strategic thinking abilities
