This multifaceted role offers you the opportunity to shape a positive workplace culture, foster meaningful connections with local communities, and ensure seamless organisational operations. You will be at the heart of building trust between employees, management, and external stakeholders, while also supporting executive leadership on strategic initiatives. The company values flexibility, inclusivity, and professional growth, providing an environment where your expertise in negotiation, stakeholder management, and operational excellence will truly make a difference. If you are passionate about nurturing relationships and driving impactful change across diverse functions, this is your chance to join a supportive team that prioritises both people and performance.

  • Play a central role in shaping harmonious labour relations by working closely with unions, employee representatives, and staff to create an inclusive and equitable workplace.
  • Lead the design and implementation of community outreach programmes and corporate social responsibility initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s reputation and social impact.
  • Oversee all aspects of general affairs including office administration, facilities management, procurement, and event coordination to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

What you'll do:

As National Industrial Relations Manager based in Tangerang, you will play a vital role in fostering a collaborative atmosphere within the organisation by balancing the needs of employees with those of management. Your daily activities will involve engaging directly with union leaders and staff members to resolve issues amicably while ensuring compliance with legal frameworks. You will also take charge of developing innovative community engagement strategies that reflect the company’s commitment to social responsibility. In addition to these outward-facing responsibilities, you will manage essential administrative functions such as facilities oversight and vendor relationships. Success in this position requires you to be highly organised, empathetic in your approach to conflict resolution, adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism throughout every aspect of your work.

  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with labour unions, employee representatives, and staff to promote open communication and mutual understanding.
  • Lead collective bargaining negotiations while ensuring compliance with all relevant labour laws and agreements to protect both employee rights and organisational interests.
  • Address grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters in a fair, consistent manner that upholds company values and fosters a respectful work environment.
  • Advise senior management on labour policies, workforce trends, and employee engagement strategies to support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor workplace conditions regularly to ensure safety standards are met, equity is maintained, and all regulations are adhered to.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the organisation and local communities, government agencies, as well as non-governmental organisations to build strong external partnerships.
  • Design and implement corporate social responsibility initiatives that align with company values while maximising positive community impact.
  • Organise community outreach programmes, sponsorships, volunteer activities, and manage stakeholder communications to enhance the organisation’s reputation.
  • Track and report on outcomes of community engagement efforts as well as sustainability initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee office administration functions including facilities management, procurement of supplies or services, contract management with vendors or service providers, event coordination, internal communications support for executive leadership projects.

What you bring:

To thrive as National Industrial Relations Manager you will bring extensive experience navigating complex industrial environments where collaboration is key. Your background should include hands-on involvement in collective bargaining processes as well as designing impactful community programmes that resonate locally. You will have demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams responsible for both internal operations like facilities management and external outreach efforts. Your interpersonal skills must be finely tuned—enabling you to communicate clearly across hierarchical levels while remaining approachable during challenging conversations. A deep understanding of regulatory requirements ensures your recommendations are always grounded in compliance. Above all else you are known for your dependability when entrusted with sensitive matters requiring discretion; your colleagues value your thoughtful approach towards problem-solving even under tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Relations or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred for candidates aspiring to excel in this role.
  • At least seven years’ experience in labour relations management or similar roles involving community engagement or general affairs oversight within large organisations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Indonesian labour laws as well as best practices in industrial relations and corporate social responsibility frameworks.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills combined with clear communication abilities for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders including unions, government officials, NGOs and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to address complex grievances or disputes using empathy-driven conflict resolution techniques that foster trust among all parties involved.
  • Proven track record managing multiple responsibilities concurrently while maintaining high levels of accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities supported by cultural sensitivity when working across different communities or departments within an organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills for overseeing office administration tasks such as procurement processes or event planning alongside regular reporting duties.
  • High level of integrity coupled with professionalism when handling confidential information or sensitive personnel matters within the workplace.
