What you'll do:

As the General Manager of Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation. You will work closely with the HR Director to promote and implement human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan. Your ability to identify key human resources issues will be crucial in developing organisational strategies. You will establish department accountability across various HR functions including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits. Your expertise in providing human resources advice will support management decisions while your commitment to enhancing our organisational reputation will drive us forward.

  • Develop organisational strategies by identifying human resources issues and recommending strategic thinking and direction
  • Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountability, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, succession planning, employee relations and industrial relations
  • Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel and decisions, analysing information and applications
  • Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing and updating policies and guidelines, communicating and enforcing organisation values
  • Establish an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation, management development, the measurement of training impact and training transfer

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this General Manager of Human Resources position brings a wealth of experience in HR leadership roles from FMCG or Manufacturing industries. With a minimum of 15 years' progressive leadership experience in human resources positions under your belt, you are well-versed in all aspects of HR management. Your broad knowledge and experience in employment law, organisational planning, organisation development, employee relations and training and development will be invaluable in this role. Your excellent organisational skills will enable you to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Minimum of 15 years' progressive leadership experience in human resources positions within FMCG and/or Manufacturing companies
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, organisational planning, organisation development, employee relations and training and development
  • Excellent organisational skills
