A leading multinational organisation is seeking a Senior People Partner to join their Jakarta-based team, supporting both Indonesia and the Philippines. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing human capital strategies that directly impact business performance and employee experience. You will be empowered to collaborate with people leaders across multiple functions, ensuring HR initiatives are seamlessly aligned with organisational goals while fostering a culture of engagement, fairness, and continuous improvement. The company offers a supportive environment where your expertise in HR generalist practices, employment legislation, and change management will be highly valued. With access to flexible working opportunities, ongoing training, and the chance to influence regional and global HR policies, this position provides the perfect platform for you to make a meaningful difference in a dynamic and inclusive workplace.

• Join a respected multinational organisation with a strong commitment to employee development, inclusion, and well-being, offering you the chance to work alongside knowledgeable professionals who value your input.
• Enjoy flexible working opportunities and generous training programmes designed to support your professional growth while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
• Play a key role in harmonising HR processes across Indonesia and the Philippines, ensuring compliance with local legislation while contributing to global HR solutions that drive business success.

What you'll do:

As a Senior People Partner based in Jakarta, you will be at the heart of driving impactful human capital strategies across Indonesia and the Philippines. Your day-to-day activities will involve partnering closely with people leaders to deliver tailored HR solutions that align with departmental objectives while nurturing an inclusive workplace culture. You will act as a trusted advisor on matters ranging from talent management to legislative compliance—ensuring every initiative supports both business outcomes and employee well-being. By facilitating workforce development programmes and championing change management efforts, you will help shape an environment where everyone can thrive. Your ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams—including Payroll and external regulatory bodies—will be essential in maintaining operational excellence. Success in this role means being proactive in addressing emerging business needs through harmonised HR approaches while always keeping local requirements top-of-mind.

  • Provide expert HR guidance and consultation to client groups on competency development, talent management, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management, and process improvement.
  • Coach and advise people leaders on performance management, team morale, employee relations issues, and organisational effectiveness by identifying root causes and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies by guiding people leaders towards fair treatment of all employees and adherence to established procedures.
  • Build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders such as HR Centres of Excellence, HR Business Partners, and broader HR Operations teams to drive consistency in HR practices.
  • Present, train, or facilitate workforce development programmes relevant to business needs while supporting communication around performance management tools and compensation programmes.
  • Lead change management initiatives with people leaders to address challenges that enhance overall performance and build human capital capability within the organisation.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into complaints or concerns that may have legal implications; assess severity, involve appropriate parties, and facilitate action based on policy.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners in implementing solutions related to culture and talent while sharing feedback on regional or global policies to ensure local needs are met.
  • Coordinate closely with Payroll teams for timely monthly payroll submissions and serve as the primary liaison between the company and local Labour Bureau/Ministry for regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date location-specific handbooks/policies as required by law; manage labour inspections, audits covering HR topics, and ensure all employment documentation is submitted accurately.

What you bring:

To excel as a Senior People Partner, your background should reflect substantial hands-on experience within multinational environments where collaboration across borders is routine. Your proven track record should include supporting diverse teams through complex changes while maintaining compliance with local laws. You bring empathy when engaging stakeholders at all levels—balancing organisational objectives with individual needs—and demonstrate resilience when navigating shifting priorities. Your understanding of industry-specific challenges (particularly within healthcare or life sciences) enables you to anticipate potential risks before they arise. A commitment to confidentiality ensures sensitive matters are handled discreetly. Your technological fluency allows you to streamline processes efficiently while your communication style fosters trust among colleagues. Ultimately, your passion for nurturing talent helps create workplaces where everyone feels valued.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or a related discipline is required for this position as it forms the foundation for effective practice.
  • At least 10 years of total work experience in human resources with a minimum of 5 years as an HR generalist within a multinational corporation environment is essential for success.
  • Demonstrated experience managing company culture initiatives, employee benefits programmes, or HR-related tax matters will be highly regarded as these areas are central to the role.
  • Strong proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory; additional skills in Tagalog would be advantageous but not compulsory for this position.
  • Previous exposure to pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare industries is preferred due to the specialised nature of regulations affecting these sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Indonesian employment legislation is critical for ensuring compliance across all aspects of the role.
  • A reputation for trustworthiness and reliability combined with high integrity is necessary as you will handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Excellent communication skills are needed so you can balance business priorities with employee needs effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Resilience and adaptability are important qualities since you will often navigate ambiguity while refining approaches in response to evolving circumstances.
  • Technological proficiency—especially with Microsoft Office applications and commonly used HR technology platforms—is expected so you can efficiently manage daily tasks.
