General Manager

An International company producing speciality chemicals is looking for a General Manager to lead their Indonesia business.

Job Summary:

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including strategic planning, operations, sales, and financial performance. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a deep understanding of the chemicals industry and a proven track record of managing a successful business in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive growth and profitability.

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and best practices.

• Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of excellence.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify business opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements and environmental standards.

• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

• Drive sales and marketing initiatives to expand market share and enhance brand presence.

• Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure product excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the chemicals industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Proven ability to drive business growth and profitability.

• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the chemicals sector.

• Fluent in English
