A prestigious and rapidly growing facilities management company is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Managing Director to oversee and manage operations within Jakarta, Indonesia. This leadership position will provide the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the business, drive growth, and lead a high-performing team across multiple sectors within the facilities management industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Oversee the daily operations of the country’s business unit, leading a diverse team and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Ensure that all staff members are well-trained, highly motivated, and aligned with company goals.
  • Business Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement growth strategies tailored to the local market. Identify new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships to expand the company’s market presence.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across multiple facilities, managing service delivery standards and ensuring that contracts are fulfilled efficiently, on time, and within budget.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial health of the business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and achieving key financial objectives.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring that services are consistently delivered to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices. Develop policies and procedures to ensure operational quality and client satisfaction.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Monitor performance, track KPIs, and provide regular reports to senior management to ensure business objectives are met. Address any performance issues and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Business Development: Lead tendering processes, proposals, and presentations, working closely with sales teams to grow the business and drive profitability.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related industry, with significant leadership experience managing teams and operations.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in financial management, budget control, and P&L accountability.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, including identifying new business opportunities and managing client relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, health and safety standards, and operational best practices.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to drive results and lead a high-performance culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement.
