About the Head of Risk Management (Micro Lending) Role:
Reporting to the business leaders, you will lead our risk management function and ensure the soundness of our lending operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard our business while supporting our mission of financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and regulatory requirements

• Credit Risk Management: Monitor and assess credit risk by analysing loan portfolios, assessing borrower creditworthiness, and implementing risk mitigation strategies

• Market and Operational Risk: Identify and mitigate market and operational risks, including fraud prevention and cybersecurity measures

• Portfolio Analysis: Continuously analyse and assess the company's loan portfolio, identifying trends and potential issues, and taking proactive measures to manage risk

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and liaise with regulators as necessary

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of risk management professionals, fostering a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement

• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular risk reports for senior management and the board of directors, providing insights and recommendations

• Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and IT, to enhance risk management processes and systems

To succeed in this Head of Risk Management (Micro Lending) role, you will need to have strong knowledge of risk assessment, risk mitigation strategies, and risk modelling. Ability to develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g. FRM, CFA) is a plus

• Experience: A minimum of eight years' relevant experience in risk management, with at least three years in a leadership role in a financial institution or micro-lending company

• Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of microfinance, lending, and financial services in Indonesia. Familiarity with local regulatory requirements is essential

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively

• Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
