An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Head of Claim. This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in claim management and a passion for customer service excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the claims resolution strategy, overseeing all aspects of the claims process, and driving transformation in operational areas.

As Head of Claim, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's claim management operations. You will lead the charge in transforming operational areas with a focus on strong governance, streamlined processes, cost-effectiveness, and user-oriented digital solutions. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you analyse claims trends and industry data to ensure high-impact operating results. Your commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences will shine through as you develop customer service strategies within claims. You will also build relationships with TPA and Providers (both local and overseas), manage claim investigations, act as an internal medical advisor, and provide leadership to your team.

  • Oversee all aspects of the claims process, including assessment, handling, adjustment, settlement, investigations, litigation, and recovery.
  • Lead transformation in claim management's operational area focusing on strong governance, streamlined process, cost-effectiveness and user-oriented digital solutions.
  • Analyse claims trends and industry data to ensure high-impact operating results and fair outcomes for customers.
  • Develop customer service strategies within claims to provide exceptional customer experiences.
  • Build, expand and maintain good relationship with TPA and Provider (Local and Overseas).
  • Carry out the assessment and settlement of life, health, disability, and pension insurance claims arising from policies in force.
  • Manage and monitor the claim investigation process on claim cases by examining claims data and facts.
  • Act as medical advisor for the internal company.
  • Provide leadership by giving direction, coaching and/or mentoring to the subordinate.

What you bring:

As an ideal candidate for the Head of Claim position, you bring a wealth of experience in managing end-to-end claim processes. Your strong understanding of life insurance terms and conditions will be invaluable in this role. You have a proven track record of leading transformation with a focus on customer centricity. Your excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills will be key in building and maintaining relationships with TPA and Providers. Your strong analytical skills will be crucial in analysing claims trends and industry data. A Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Medical and significant experience in a similar role are also required.

  • Strong understanding of life insurance terms and conditions and claim appeal process.
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end claim processes.
  • Experience leading transformation focusing on customer centricity.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in Joint Venture Life Insurance Company is preferable.
  • Bachelor degree from Faculty of Medical.
  • 10 years experience as a Claim Sr. Manager/AVP.
  • 5 years experience as a Claim (VP, General Manager).
