Our client is on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced AVP of Sales to spearhead the growth of their Life & Health Insurance sales channel in Indonesia. This strategic leadership role calls for an individual capable of building and leading a high-performing sales team, as well as driving cross-selling opportunities with existing teams and partners.

As the AVP Agency Sales - Life & Health Insurance, your primary role will be to drive the growth of our client's Life & Health Insurance sales channel in Indonesia. You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing sales team from scratch, focusing on both direct and agency business models. Your excellent strategic planning skills will be put to use as you develop and implement strategies for acquiring and engaging insurance agents. You will also oversee marketing and promotional activities related to life insurance products, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Recruit, onboard, and train a team of sales managers
  • Develop strategies for acquiring and engaging insurance agents
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings with the sales teams
  • Foster strong relationships with agents to increase loyalty and engagement
  • Oversee marketing and promotional activities related to life insurance products
  • Drive the achievement of sales targets for life insurance premiums
  • Design incentive programs for business managers
  • Utilize understanding of market rates to develop competitive promotional schemes and commission structures
  • Provide regular updates on sales progress, potential challenges, and the overall issuance pipeline

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in leading sales teams within the life insurance industry in Indonesia
  • Demonstrable relationships with retail and MDRT agents
  • Strong understanding of commission structures, market rates, and the strengths and weaknesses of various life insurance products
  • Proven experience in managing teams within agency channels of life insurance companies
  • Excellent proficiency in both written and verbal English
  • Resilient mindset with the ability to perform effectively under demanding circumstances
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret and communicate data effectively
