Our client is seeking a dynamic and committed Head of Business Development for Bancassurance. This role is pivotal in driving strategic growth initiatives within the insurance sector, with a focus on bancassurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that leverage this distribution channel to maximise revenue and market share.

What you'll do:

As the Head of Business Development (Bancassurance), you will play a crucial role in driving strategic growth initiatives within our client's organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategies that leverage bancassurance distribution channels to maximise revenue and market share. You will work closely with product teams, foster relationships with partner banks, drive sales initiatives, conduct market research, establish KPIs, and prepare regular reports on business development progress.

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for bancassurance aligned with overall objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to enhance the bancassurance portfolio
  • Foster and manage relationships with partner banks to ensure alignment of goals and effective collaboration
  • Negotiate agreements and contracts with banks to optimise terms and conditions for mutual benefit
  • Work closely with product teams to develop insurance products tailored for bancassurance distribution
  • Monitor and analyse product performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet targets
  • Drive sales initiatives through bank channels, including training and motivating bank staff to effectively promote insurance products
  • Develop sales incentives and promotions to encourage increased sales volume
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of bancassurance initiatives

What you bring:

The ideal candidate as the Head of Business Development (Bancassurance) role will bring a wealth of experience in business development, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry. The candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams. Candidate's excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable to build and maintain effective partnerships with banks and internal stakeholders. this person will have the ability to analyse complex data and market trends to inform strategic decisions, and will possess strong strategic planning and execution abilities to drive business growth.

  • Proven track record in business development, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective partnerships with banks and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse complex data and market trends to inform strategic decisions
  • Strong strategic planning and execution abilities to drive business growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
