About the Head of Finance (General Insurance) Role:
Reporting to the business leaders, you will play a crucial role in ensuring sound financial management, reporting, and strategic planning for the organisation. This position will involve a great range of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to Regional Headquarters: Act as the primary liaison between the company's finance department and our regional headquarters, providing regular financial updates, analysis, and strategic insights
• Review and Analysis of Financial Statements: Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for both internal and external purposes
• Cash Management: Efficiently manage the company's cash flow, ensuring liquidity while optimising cash reserves. This includes monitoring, forecasting, and managing cash positions
• Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting: Develop and lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to set financial targets and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. Regularly update and revise forecasts as needed
• IFRS Project: Lead the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) within the organisation. Ensure compliance with IFRS requirements and guide the finance team in making the necessary adjustments to financial reporting
• Investment: Play a critical role in investment strategy and decisions, including evaluating potential investment opportunities, assessing risk, and providing recommendations to senior management

To be successful in this role, the Head of Finance (General Insurance) must have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of five to eight years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, and financial management, with at least three years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
• Experience with IFRS implementation and compliance is a significant advantage
• Proven expertise in investment analysis and decision-making
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a finance team
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, and a strong understanding of the latest financial trends and regulations
• Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards and good corporate governance principles
