Finance Director - Insurance

A large regional general insurance company is seeking a new Finance Director - Insurance. In this job, you will help manage their Indonesian business in Jakarta.

About the Finance Director - Insurance Role:
Reporting to the Group CFO, a wide range of responsibilities will include supporting the overall management of the company and ensuring good corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with statutory provisions, articles of association, and other internal regulations from insurance
• Work closely with peers in other departments including product management and operations, to develop and implement processes and procedures that allow for sustainable growth and compliance
• Ensure and monitor the accuracy and timeliness of submission, GST filing, tax returns, etc.
• Coordinate/liaise with external parties such as external auditors, tax agents on their requests
• Monitor group cash flow and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the daily cash flow report to ensure adequate funding for group projects and activities as well as operational needs of HO and subsidiaries
• Manage maintenance and continual improvements for existing processes, leveraging technology and competitive practices for all banking matters, including banking facilities and new merchants
• Prepare yearly full set budget in accordance with the BOD template
• Create procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention

The successful candidate will be an established Finance Director or CFO with a background in general insurance.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Degree and CPA qualified (preferred)
• A deep understanding of the insurance industry and in particular, general insurance (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in both Indonesian Bahasa and English
