About the Head of Business Process Improvement Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team focused on process enhancement and initiatives, vendor management performance, project assurance review, and reporting. Your primary objective will be to support and deliver projects and initiatives related to claims, billing, new business, underwriting, policy services, and claims. Additionally, you will oversee the quality assurance processes for new business underwriting, policy services, and claims, as well as provide support to the Office of the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for process enhancement and initiatives, vendor management performance, project assurance review, and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and deliver projects and initiatives related to claims, billing, new business, underwriting, policy services, and claims
- Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and processes to ensure efficient and accurate new business underwriting, policy services, and claims operations
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess the compliance and effectiveness of processes and procedures
- Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and enhance the customer experience
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards
- Provide leadership and guidance in resolving complex issues and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the Office of the Chief Operating Officer to support strategic initiatives and provide necessary reporting and analysis
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in quality assurance and process improvement
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team and across the organisation
To succeed in this role as Head of Business Process Improvement, you have to possess a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of quality management principles. Your ability to design and implement robust quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, is paramount.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience in quality assurance, process enhancement, and project management, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of claims, billing, new business, underwriting, and policy services operations
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management and performance monitoring
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the insurance industry
