A Senior Actuarial Manager - IFRS 17 job has become available at one of the biggest insurance companies.
About the Senior Actuarial Manager - IFRS 17 Role: In the business critical role you will be responsible to manage and lead the IFRS 17 actuary. You will also need to work closely with other project team, including the data, systems and accounting work streams.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and developing Prophet Model and ETLs for both implementation and transition purposes
Producing functional and technical specification for Prophet actuarial system enhancements required to enable IFRS 17 compliance
Designing and developing solutions to provide various expected cash flow and assumptions data as part of the IFRS 17 process
Capturing and designing the new process under IFRS 17
Understanding the functionalities and the implications of the IFRS 17 solutions and developing the tools for the transition and reporting purpose
Being involved in the functional and user acceptance testing
Performing analysis of the IFRS 17 results to ensure the reasonableness of the numbers
Assisting other stakeholders on an ad hoc basis
Building team capabilities, coaching and sharing knowledge
To succeed in Senior Actuarial Manager - IFRS 17 job, you must be proficient in English, have solid experience in technical actuary skills and possess excellent leadership skills.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree graduate in actuarial, mathematics or other related disciplines
Must have solid experience with Prophet
Must have experience in IFRS 17 implementation in life insurers
Must have solid experience in leading a team
Possessing experience of Prophet actuarial system modelling and the knowledge relevant to existing actuarial processes and various reporting metrics such as EEV
Possessing actuary qualifications
Good problem-solving skills
Able to work under pressure and in abstract environment
Comfortable working with uncertainties, highly adaptable
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Fluent in both spoken and written English
