An international professional services firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Assistant Manager to join their BPO team in Jakarta. This position presents an exciting opportunity for you to advance your career within a globally recognised organisation that values collaboration, growth, and professional development.

What you'll do:

As an Accounting Assistant Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing critical aspects of financial reporting and consolidation for international clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve utilising sophisticated accounting systems to prepare accurate reports, reviewing consolidation functions for precision, and ensuring seamless month-end and year-end closings. You will act as a key liaison during audits, providing essential documentation while maintaining strict adherence to global accounting standards. In addition to these core duties, you may be seconded to client sites as an interim finance specialist, offering hands-on expertise where it is most needed. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments, adapt quickly to regulatory changes, and contribute valuable insights that shape organisational strategy.

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial reports using advanced accounting systems such as SAGE Accpac, SAP, Lucanet, and other relevant platforms to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Set up robust financial consolidation functions and meticulously review the accuracy of all consolidated reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee month-end closing (MEC) and year-end closing (YEC) activities, guaranteeing that all financial data is recorded precisely and reported in accordance with established timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with external auditors during audit processes by providing thorough documentation and timely information to facilitate smooth audits.
  • Ensure strict compliance with local GAAP, IFRS standards, relevant regulations, and internal company policies across all accounting activities.
  • Participate in client secondments by serving as an interim financial accountant or finance manager either on-site or off-site, delivering expert support tailored to client needs.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting processes and implement best practices that drive operational efficiency.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations to proactively update procedures and maintain compliance at all times.
  • Support senior management by preparing detailed analysis reports that inform business strategy and financial planning decisions.

What you bring:

To excel as an Accounting Assistant Manager, you will bring proven experience from the world of international professional services firms alongside deep knowledge of modern accounting principles. Your background includes substantial exposure to complex financial reporting requirements using industry-leading software platforms. You possess outstanding interpersonal skills that enable you to communicate clearly across cultures while building trust-based relationships with clients. Your meticulous nature ensures every report meets exacting standards without compromise. Adaptability is key; whether supporting audits or stepping into interim roles at client sites, you thrive on new challenges while remaining committed to ethical conduct. Your dedication to continuous learning means you stay ahead of regulatory changes—making you an invaluable asset who supports both team goals and individual development.

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field from a reputable business school or university is required for this position.
  • At least six years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting within an international professional services firm is essential for success.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using advanced accounting systems such as SAGE Accpac, SAP, Lucanet or Odoo along with strong skills in MS Office applications including Excel.
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication abilities is necessary for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
  • Possession of Brevet A&B certification would be considered advantageous but is not mandatory.
  • A proactive approach combined with a client-focused mindset enables you to anticipate needs and deliver exceptional service consistently.
  • Hands-on experience working both independently and collaboratively within teams ensures adaptability across various work environments.
  • High attention to detail coupled with accuracy allows you to maintain impeccable records even under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while upholding confidentiality at all times reflects your professionalism.
  • Commitment to integrity and long-term growth demonstrates your alignment with the organisation’s values.
